Electricity is an important infrastructure in pastoral areas, and electrification plays a crucial role in the economic development of pastoral areas and the improvement of the living standards of herdsmen. With the successful completion of the poverty alleviation project in the western pastoral areas, in order to fully realize the rural revitalization strategy in the high-altitude pastoral areas and solve the problem of electricity consumption for the population without electricity in the pastoral areas, I will officially establish the "Lighting up the Homes of Herdsmen" public welfare project in September 2021, donating photovoltaic power equipment to households in the pastoral areas that have not been electrified, especially those with elderly, sick, and children who need to improve their electricity conditions the most. This will help them overcome darkness, illuminate their homes, and enable them to enjoy modern life, effectively improve the quality of electricity consumption for herdsmen, and spread light throughout the entire grassland! In 2024, the project will be officially renamed as "Power Station on Yak's Back"

Project Results

Since the project was launched in September 2021, the construction assistance for 20 herdsman families without electricity has been completed in Resa Village, Naqu City, Xizang, which has been widely praised by local herdsmen. The use of integrated light storage machines can effectively meet the various electricity needs of herdsmen in lighting, mobile phones, televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, and butter tea production, and can help herdsmen increase their income by about 2000 yuan per month. Not only does it meet the needs of herdsmen for electricity, but it also fulfills their desire to use electricity effectively. To contribute to promoting social progress in pastoral areas and maintaining prosperity and stability in border areas. In 2024, the implementation of the second phase of the project has been completed, and photovoltaic power supply equipment will be donated to 35 households without electricity in Reza Village, Zhuoqing Village and Lejiaku Village of Naqu County, Xizang, to fill the gap of local herdsmen in high-quality electricity use and improve the living standards of border ethnic minorities.
