Foundation Overview

The Beijing DaLuan Xiangyu Charity Foundation (hereinafter referred to as the Foundation) was initiated by Ms. Zhou Bingde, niece of Premier Zhou Enlai, and was approved by the Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau on October 9, 2016. It is a 4A level non-public foundation. The names "Da Luan" and "Xiang Yu" are respectively derived from Premier Zhou Enlai's nickname and courtesy name, symbolizing that the foundation will uphold the great mission of "carrying the perseverance of charity and contributing to the well-being of the people", and is committed to inheriting and carrying forward the legacy of the older generation of revolutionaries such as Premier Zhou Enlai. It will carry out public welfare and charity activities around the three aspects of nurturing people with kindness, connecting people's hearts, and promoting public welfare in Da Luan.

The establishment of the foundation was guided and assisted by the China Charity Federation. The Foundation Council consists of six directors and one supervisor, each with years of experience in organizing and participating in public welfare and charity activities. At the same time, inspired by Premier Zhou Enlai's ideal of "China taking off the world", it has received strong support from the descendants of the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries, the staff around Premier Zhou Enlai, and influential politicians and entrepreneurs at home and abroad.

The foundation inherits Zhou Enlai's spirit of wholehearted dedication to serving the people, takes it as its responsibility to promote righteousness, provide good services to the people, and create a harmonious society. It does not forget the eternal aspiration of revolutionary descendants to repay society, responds to the call of the country, unites benevolent individuals and organizations who are willing to engage in public welfare and charity, and practices socialist core values with innovative, pragmatic, efficient, and transparent actions. With the support of the China Charity Federation and the supervision of all sectors of society, it promotes traditional virtues of the Chinese nation and carries out charitable and public welfare activities in accordance with the law.
